The island Djurgarden used to be the hunting grounds for the royal families. Nowadays Djurgarden is often described as the “Central Park” of Stockholm, with lots of museums, attractions and forests and only very few inhabitants. For culture go to the Vasamuseet, the Nordiska museet or Liljevalchs Konsthall with changing modern art exhibitions. If you are looking for entertainment follow the high free- fall towers to the amusement park Gröna Lund. And if you prefer fresh air go to Skansen to see the Swedish country life or take a walk to Rosendals Slott, which is inhabited by relatives of the royal family.
